What We Do

Blighty Arts (registered as Finsbury Park Arts) is a small charitable organization based in Finsbury Park, London focused on lifting people out of poverty primarily through donations, but also renting workspace for professionals.

These ways of raising money provide micro-finance (or “good faith”) loans to some of the poorest people in rural India and now Rwanda, so that they can start their own business.

100% of donations go to our Women’s Project recipients, inspired by the Nobel Prize winning model by Mohammad Yunus in his book Banker to the Poor, which has a loan repayment success rate of over 95%.

All loan repayments are then paid “forward” to the next recipient, so even £3-5 per month can become the seed that grows to help dozens of women climb out of poverty!
